What a FAB weekend!

I have so much to blog about this week. First I will start off the the Manning Farmer's Market I attended. It was a great little market and I met such AMAZING vendors and I got some amazing products (I will br talking about those at a later time). Considering the rodeo was rained out I had a wonderful first tiem there. We will be back for Christmas markets. Here is the link to the markets blog http://www.helo.ca/manning/farmersmarket/.

My family had a wonderful time out of town for the weekend we rented the cutest little cabin from Lot's of Happy Campers the link http://tiny.cc/qyzep.The view from the cabin is amazing of the Peace River. Even though there was lots of rain Sunday the sun decided to show so we soaked it up and enjoyed it.The best part of my weekend was no cell service so we had no distrations at the cabins at all it was great!
The first picture is a picture of the mighty Peace River and the second one is my son in front of the cabin!

Here’s what’s new
Soapy POPS are now avaible in Choco-mint, Creamsicle, Raspberry Creamsicle, Neapolitan and Monkey Farts!!!!!
Introductory Soapy POPS price $5.50 ea.

Also new Dubble Bubble Bath Dough, This fun dough makes lots of bubbles in the tub fun. All you do is scoop out a walnut size amount run it under running water and watch the bubbles appear. I’ve been working on this formula for about a year so I’m super proud and excited about it. These Will be avaible April 7th.

Body Butters are another addition to the Bathhouse family
I love this creamy butter that doesn’t leave a greasy residue behind and it has some super skin loving ingredients in it like, Shea butter, Coconut Oil, Jojoba oil just to name a few.
Enough with the serious stuff that’s get on to the super fun April contest!!
The contest I need help renaming a scent and you will WIN a Whipped soap and Body Butter of this scent.
The name of the scent is Winter White at the moment and well that name just doesn’t work year round so I need your help.
HERE IS THE FRAGRANCE DESCSRIPTION - If you lived in the North Pole and walked out of Santa’s Workshop and took a deep whiff, what would you expect to smell? Winter White is designed to invoke a subtle twist on clean air mint with notes of Spearmint, Peppermint and exotic Water Mint. Of course, at Santa’s Workshop, you won’t be surprised to find a few notes of Chocolate and Hot Cocoa wafting out of the windows as well. This blend is finished up with a beautiful soft dry down of Vetevyr and delicate West Indian Vanilla. This is a very nice light fresh scent!
On April 30 I will choose the winner amongst all the entries.
You can enter this contest either on my blog or emailing KCBathhouse@gmail.com

Keep your eyes peeled for one more HUGE contest next week.
THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING K&C’S BATHHOUSE FANS

Soap Swap

I finally got to do my first soap swap. I did it with a company I buy a lot of fragrances from Bramble Berry. I was so stoked to see a picture of my soap on there blog the other day. Lets just say Bramble Berry is like royalty in the soap world. They give such wonderful inspiration to a soaper like me.
Here is the link to my soap on the blog.

A little about me and soap

I will never forget my first “soaping” experience,I must of been about 7 years old at my grandmother's house. Me and my sister were peeking in the garage door as my granny and mother mixed the lye solution ( I just thought they were being mean and not letting us in on the fun.) I remember the awful smell from the lard/tallow and couldn't figure out why they were making something that smells so bad. Who would actually use this? Then weeks later I remember my grandfather in a deep Italian accent telling grandmother there was no way she was gonna wash his clothes in the that awful smelling stuff. So from that day on I thought nothing good of homemade soap, till years later.

Three years ago I got blessed to work for an amazing soap artisan Tanda. The amazing soaping world she told me about was to seductive and luring I knew one day I would walk down this path. For years I soaked up all the knowledge I could possibly find and I'm still finding. Thanks to Tanda ( she is also my soaping mentor at this time) I'm now a soaping addict and can't get enough of it.

Finally at the beginning of 2010 I got to play with soap, oh so many years of being patient finally paid off. I only had planned on making mothers day gifts for my family and making a few products for my son's super dry skin. Well now I'm selling skin loving products and loving every minute of it. I hope you all enjoy my products as much as I do.

Why buy handmade soaping products?
Say hello to “glycerin” one of the best things for your skin it pulls moisture from the air onto your skin. Most store bought soaps are actually detergents. Buying local or from the owner is great cause they know there products inside and out . They are more then willing to help there customer find the perfect product for them or as a gift.
